So in the 2nd ODI the same performance were experienced by both the sides where they managed to score some good amount of runs. The match started with England winning the toss and electing to bat first where they managed to set a target of 231.

Looking for a hope to win and stay in the tour, England started with a slower start with an early knock of Bairstow who was dismissed with an early duck. England managed to upgrade their score line with Root scoring 39 runs of 73 balls, Morgan 42, Tom Curran 37 and Adil Rashid 35 where they managed to set a target of 231-9.

Australia who was hoping to maintain the same form to chase the target faced an early dismissal of David Warner in the 4th over. After that big wicket Finch and Labuschagne gave an increase to the score chase with Finch scoring an excellent knock of 73 runs of 105 balls but was finally bowled out by Chris Woakes.  Labuschagne , on the other hand scored 48 runs of 59 balls.  Both Jofra Archer and Chris Woakes proved to be the key players who changed the flow of game at the last moment. By taking 3 wickets in 10 overs with an economy rate of 3.9, Jofra Archer was named Man of the Match of the 2nd game of ODI by dismissing some of the key run scorers like David Warner, Stoinis and Mitchell Marsh who could have turned the match play.
