Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad have won their last matches. Mumbai defeated Kings XI Punjab after they lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore in the super over. In comparison, Hyderabad has won two back to back games. They won against Delhi Capitals and SRH also tamed the three-time champions, Chennai Super Kings.

These two teams have opposite strengths, and this battle is between the two best white-ball openers of International Cricket. Rohit Vs Warner is the most exciting battle to watch out for in this contest.

Rohit had led Mumbai to four title wins, and Warner has won just one title as the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad. But when these teams have met in IPL, both have equal shares of wins. In 14 matches, Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad have won seven IPL matches each.

MI – Mumbai Indians – Team’s Preview

The team that has won the most titles in IPL and defending champions of IPL 2020 is Mumbai Indians. MI under Rohit Sharma are termed as slow starters in every season. In this season too, they lost their first game against Chennai Super Kings. But they bounced back like the real champions.

Their win against Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab should boost their confidence in their next encounter with Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday.

Mumbai has a balanced team that can tame any opposition on the given day. They have missed Lasith Malinga in the matches where they have lost. But the pace battery of the Blues is the best in the tournament.

No team has three quality pace bowlers like Boult, Pattinson, and Bumrah in one team. MI also has good depth in their batting order. Even though Quinton De Kock has failed to fire in this tournament so far, but we all know what he can do once he finds his Midas touch.

MI also has the luxury of three batting all-rounders, which is a rarity to find these days. Pollard and the two Pandya are the best all-rounders who are capable of taking the game away from the opposition single-handedly.

Pollard and Hardik showed their pure class against Kings XI Punjab on Thursday night. They single-handedly took the team’s total to a mammoth score. After the dismissal of Skipper Sharma, no one would have thought that MI would score 191 runs in the end.

But it was superb power hitting from Pollard and Hardik, which added more to the death over bowling woes of Kings XI Punjab. Pollard is in good batting and bowling form and they will want Hardik to bowl in this season. Hardik has been a good bowler for MI, and still, he hasn’t bowled any overs yet. MI will be a little nervous about this.

Krunal Pandya hasn’t had a good tournament yet. He has not been an impact player for Mumbai still. But, he possesses an immense talent that would help Mumbai in later games. MI will want a handy contribution from Krunal in upcoming games.

Ishan Kishen is another player to watch out for from the MI camp. Kishen has been batting well since he has come in as the replacement of Saurabh Tiwari. If Mumbai is thinking of changing their openers for this game, they should give Ishan Kishen a chance to open the innings with Rohit Sharma.

Kishen is the perfect replacement for De Kock at the top order. By dropping the South African wicketkeeper-batsman, Mumbai can include someone like Nathan Coulter-Nile. This Aussie pacer can add depth to the bowling unit of MI.

The Probable Predicted Playing XI of Mumbai Indians – Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Nathan Coulter – Nile, James Pattinson, Rahul Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah.

SRH – Sunrisers Hyderabad – Team’s Preview

Sun will rise more for Hyderabad after their win against Chennai Super Kings on Friday. They won by a narrow margin of seven runs. But they have made the statement that SRH can’t be taken lightly by the other teams.

The batsmen haven’t been that consistent. But they will fancy their chances on a smaller ground like Sharjah.

The likes of Warner, Bairstow, Williamson, Pandey, and Garg will do the damage for the Sunrisers.

Then, the last match, heroes will take them through a defendable score as they did against Chennai Super Kings. It was an outstanding effort from the two young Indian players who bailed out their team from challenging situations. SRH will want more similar efforts Piyam Garg and Abhishek Sharma in the next match.

SRH will again look to win the toss and bat first because they have defended the total well on two occasions. They have not scored a mighty score yet. But they have posed a significant challenge in front of the other teams by defending a modest score.

Their bowling looks good, but they will need someone like Bhuvneshwar Kumar as their experienced bowler. Bhuvi might miss the game against Mumbai Indians after he was injured in the last match against CSK.

If Bhuvi doesn’t play, then SRH will have many concerns in their bowling department. They will not have a proper death over the bowler, and this bowling unit will suddenly be inexperienced as Khaleel and Natarajan are still in their learning curves.

Then Rashid Khan will have to take a lot of responsibility single-handedly. But he is not a death over bowler for Sunrisers. Hyderabad doesn’t have the option to replace Bhuvi. They can include Vijay Shankar or Siddarth Kaul in his place.

But they also aren’t that good like Bhuvi. There is a lot of concern in the bowling department for Hyderabad if Bhuvi doesn’t play because MI is a team that can pounce on them with this weak link, and they will hammer the SRH bowlers on a smaller venue like Sharjah.

The Probable and Predicted Playing XI of Sunrisers Hyderabad – David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Abdul Samad, Abhishek Sharma, Priyam Garg, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar/Vijay Shankar/Siddharth Kaul, K Khaleel Ahmed, T Natarajan.

This match will be brought live by Star Sports Networks on 4th October 2020, Sunday. This match will be telecasted at 3.30 PM IST, 10.00 AM GMT, and 2.00 PM Local. Live streaming will also be available on HOTSTAR mobile application.
