UEFA Nations League Round 3: Preview

After experiencing some exciting League matches, we have an international break this week. The UEFA Nations League matches will be held this week where we will be able to experience some exciting fixtures with some changes in the team line-ups where some of the players will get an opportunity to showcase their talent for their country.

Yesterday we saw some of the best teams face each other in the friendly matches. They will be able to prepare themselves according to their performances and draw necessary tactics to grab a win in the Nations League matches.

Let’s have a look at the Round 3 fixtures:

  • Bulgaria vs. Hungary – 9th October 12:15 AM IST.
  • Ukraine vs. Germany – 11th October 12:15 AM IST.
  • Spain vs. Switzerland – 11th October 12:15 AM IST.
  • England vs. Belgium – 11th October 9:30 PM IST.
  • France vs. Portugal – 12th October 12:15 AM IST.
  • Poland vs. Italy – 12th October 12:15 AM IST.

 

We encountered some excellent level of performances in yesterday’s friendly matches where some of the players gave their best level of performances which were a delight to watch out.

Now we’ll have a look at the Top 3 matches to watch out in the 3rd round of Nations League draw:

1# France vs. Portugal

Both the teams’ lookout in great form with some new additions to their squads. Upamecano was included in the France squad and he performed excellently by scoring a beautiful header in the previous match of the Nations League. France has a great game last night where Giroud led the team to a 7-1 victory against Ukraine.

Portugal played yesterday’s game against Spain which led to a 0-0 draw. They pulled out some amazing shots but couldn’t score any goals. Jota started his first game for Portugal in the last match and scored his debut goals. Portugal will be expecting a good level of performance from these youth players and the match will be interesting to watch with both the strong teams facing each other.

2# England vs. Belgium

England made some new additions to the team where players like Coady, Reece James, Saka, and Calvert-Lewin have been called for the first time to perform for their home country. We experienced some exciting performances from these players in the Premier League matches and it will be great to see these players play for their country.

England earned some good amount of wins in the Nations League matches with Captain Kane leading the youth army. Greenwood and Foden are dropped from the squad and Maguire and Rashford are back. Sterling is injured and will probably miss the game. We will be expected to see Rashford start in place of Sterling.

Belgium is definitely having a strong line up with players like Lukaku, De Bruyne, and Hazard always looking dangerous in the attack. We hope that players like Dendoncker, Trossard, and Castagne get a start.

They have been impressive in the Premier League matches so far. Martinez will give an opportunity to these players to make a start for their country. Both the teams look in great form throughout the tournament. Let’s see who grabs a winner.

3# Poland vs. Italy

Italy had a great night yesterday as they won the friendly match against Moldova by 6-0. Italy looks in a sharp form as always. Poland, on the other hand, also won the games till now with a good score margin where Glik leading the squad playing a perfect captain’s role as well as covering the defense area.

He scored a great goal in their last fixture against Bosnia that ended with a 1-2 win for Poland. In the absence of Lewandowski, Milik and Piatek are covering the attack of Poland. Klich was shown some good performance in the midfield area for Leeds.

So these are some of the matches that will be exciting to look for in the 3rd round of Nations League.
