As we all know that the last day for the transfer window was 5th October where many Premier League Clubs were casting an eye on various players which they added to their squad before 5th October. The players signed have been well adjusted to the clubs and some of the players are back to training as well. There is also an advantage of signing a free agent player.

As we knew that some clubs grabbed this opportunity by signing free agent players. For example, Manchester United signed Cavani recently; Arsenal signed Willian, Pedro to Roma, and David Silva to Real Sociedad, etc.

We all are also aware that there is a deadline till 16th October this Friday where the clubs are allowed to add English Football League players to their squad where mostly the clubs are keeping an eye on players showing some great amount of performances in the lower leagues.

We’ll have a look at some of the free-agent players that can be signed before the deadline:

5# Shinji Kagawa

The former Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagawa is now a free agent after his contract with Real Zaragoza got terminated. He did not like the way his contract was terminated. Kagawa is still 31 and has a great level of experience playing in English and German Leagues.

He is reportedly interested to join the Spanish League with the second-division club Sabadell interested. Kagawa is an amazing midfielder. He gained a good level of recognition while playing for Manchester United during his early days. He has still got that experience and skills and can be an alternative that can be added by the clubs.

4# Alexandre Pato

Alexandre Pato terminated his contract with the Sao Paulo club and is a free agent looking for a fresh start with a new challenge. Pato played with the AC Milan side for the 2007-2013 season but he was unable to get many opportunities to start when the Milan side added Ibrahimovic to lead the starting attack.

Milan was in a shortage of options where Pato could get a start. The Internacional club is likely to make a move for the player to bring him back to play for the country club. Clubs like Crystal Palace can also make a move for this player making the attack stronger.

3# Jack Wilshere

It has been a long wait of 2 years for Jack Wilshere. The midfielder has left West Ham on Monday after making just 19 appearances in 2 years. The player joined the West Ham side after terminating his contract with Arsenal.

Wilshere had a good record while playing for the Arsenal side. He made 197 appearances for Arsenal. The extremely talented player has 34 England caps. He played his last match for England in 2016 against Iceland. The 28-year-old looks fit, strong, and ready to play. He can be a great addition to the midfield.

2# Mario Mandzukic

At the age of 34, the Croatian attacker looks like facing the end of his career. He is a powerful striker who looks deadly in the attack. He gained a popular image playing for the Juventus side and is considered to be one of the best attackers of Juventus till now. Mandzukic won 4 Serie A titles and 3 Coppa Italisas during his time playing for the Juventus side.

He retired from international football in August 2018, a month after he scored the World Cup final as Croatia lost 4-2 to France. The free-agent can be an important tool in the attack.

1# Daniel Sturridge

Sturridge is one of the recognized names of football as he made his appearances playing for some of the bigger clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool. The striker is currently a free agent after being the Turkish club Trabzonspor back in March.

The 31-year-old had been released by the club after being banned from football for 4 months for breaching the betting rules. He made 16 appearances last season and scored 7 goals. If the teams want to score goals and are looking for a furious attacker, then Sturridge is a perfect solution to their problem.

These were some of the free-agent players that are still available. These all players were well recognized during their early days playing for some of the well-known clubs. They are likely to make a comeback to play for some of the big teams. If the clubs are looking for some good options, then these are some of the best fits.
