It will be another run feast at Sharjah Cricket Ground when RCB takes on KXIP on Thursday, 15th October 2020.

When RCB and KXIP met each other in the previous encounter, it was the KL Rahul show, which took the game away from Virat and his men in Dubai. KXIP’s skipper KL Rahul slammed unbeaten 132 runs, which took Punjab to a mammoth win, but since then, they have found ways to close matches, and the win against RCB is still their only win in this tournament.

RCB – Royal Challengers Bangalore – Team’s Preview

Currently, Royal Challengers Bangalore is placed in the third spot of the IPL points table. They have lost just two matches until now. Their first loss came against Kings XI Punjab, and their second loss was in the super over against Mumbai Indians.

But Kohli’s RCB has sprung a surprise with their performance in the league stages so far.  This RCB team is the best team that they have played in IPL history. Previously, it was a burden on Virat and ABD in the batting department.

But now, everything has been changed. They have found a good opening pair in Devdutt Paddikal and Aaron Finch. These two players have given an excellent start while batting.

Then Virat Kohli and AB De Villers carry the innings along nicely. Kohli at number three position has been magnificent over the years for Bangalore’s men while ABD is continuing his classy knocks, which propels RCB to an excellent finish.

ABD played a handy knock against Kolkata Knight Riders, which won them the game. His 77 runs from just 30 balls were so convenient that it allowed the match to be a one-sided affair in the end. ABD also played a timely knock against Sunrisers Hyderabad in its first match of the IPL 2020 season. That knock helped RCB to post a fighting total.

Virat’s batting with captaincy has been fantastic to watch. In the earlier seasons, it was only VK’s batting, which was talked about more, but now, Virat has grown as a leader. He has used all his bowlers magnificently.

The use of Washington Sundar has been the hallmark of RCB in the bowling department. Earlier, Yuzvendra Chahal was under so much pressure to deliver as the lead spinner. But the inclusion of Washington Sundar has helped Chahal in many ways.

Then the fast bowlers like Isuru Udana and Navdeep Saini have done a decent job so far. At the same time, Shivam Dube hasn’t been the preferred bowler for Kohli. Dube hasn’t bowled much in the tournament, but whenever he has bowled; he made sure that he picks up a wicket or two.

This RCB team is so strong that they don’t need any changes in their playing XI. But they will also have to look at the flat wicket and dimensions of the shortest venue in the UAE.

The batsmen will like ABD, Finch, Kohli, and Paddikal may love batting here. But for the bowlers, this venue is a nightmare.

RCB will need their bowlers to pass this stern Sharjah Test, and if they win this match, they might go on the top of the points table.

The Probable Predicted Playing XI Of Royal Challengers Bangalore – Devdutt Padikkal, Aaron Finch, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Washington Sundar, Shivam Dube, Chris Morris, Isuru Udana, Navdeep Saini, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal.

KXIP – Kings XI Punjab – Team’s Preview

Kings XI Punjab team did so well in the IPL 2014 when the first half of the tournament was played in the United Arab Emirates. They won all the five matches of the IPL 2014 edition, which was played in UAE. Glenn Maxwell was the highest scorer for them in that edition.

But now they are languishing at the bottom of the points table.

Only KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, and Nicholas Pooran have been performing for them. The other big names like Glenn Maxwell, Jimmy Neesham, and Chris Jordan, haven’t been good.

The bowling has not been good from their main quicks Shami and Cottrell. So far, they have performed in bits and pieces. Cottrell still has to sit out while Ishan Porel can come in for Shami.

They could also include Chris Gayle and Hardus Viljoen as their two overseas players in their next match and Deepak Hooda and Krishnappa Gowtham, as the replacement of two Indian players in their playing XI.

There has been no Gayle Storm in the IPL 2020 season yet. The Windies opener has to sit out because Rahul and Mayank have been batting well as the openers. But the inclusion of Gayle will add depth to the batting line up of Punjab.

Mayank could bat at number 3 while Pooran at number 4, with Deepak Hooda and Krishnappa Gowtham, can be the finishers for Punjab at five and six positions. Gowtham will also be the third spinner in the Punjab team with Mujeeb Ur Rahaman and Ravi Bishnoi.

Kings XI Punjab needs to motivate themselves after they scored 223 runs by batting first at Sharjah. At Dubai, when they faced RCB, they also batted first and pushed Virat’s team out of the contest.

Punjab needs to put in a similar effort tomorrow. They should look to win the toss and bat first again, and if their bowlers do a decent job, then Kings XI Punjab may win their second match of the tournament.

The Probable Predicted Playing XI Of Kings XI Punjab – KL Rahul, Chris Gayle, Mayank Agarwal, Nicholas Pooran, Deepak Hooda, Krishnappa Gowtham, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammed Shami/Ishan Porel, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardus Viljoen.

RCB vs KXIP will be broadcasted live at 7.30 PM according to the IST on Star Sports, and live streaming will be available on HOTSTAR on Thursday, 15th October 2020.
