The Windies would be touring the Kiwi nation like they toured England in June. They are set to play three-match series of T20 Internationals and two-match Test series.

The Windies will start this tour on Friday, 27th November 2020, with a T20I series at Eden Park in Auckland, and then the last two matches of the shortest format will be played at Bay Oval in Tauranga on 29th and 30th November 2020.

West Indies will end this tour with a series of two matches in the traditional format. The first Test match will be played from Thursday, 3rd to Monday, 7th December 2020, at Seddon Park in Hamilton, and the tour concludes at Basin Reserve in Wellington from Friday, 11th to Tuesday, 15th December 2020.

West Indies Cricket Board have announced their squad for both the series in New Zealand. They have recalled Keemo Paul, Darren Bravo, and Shimron Hetmyer for this tour. These three WI players didn’t tour England, while Shai Hope dropped after he failed to score in England.

Hope had scored just 105 runs in six innings on England’s tour, and he didn’t even get a half-century to his name. His highest score was only 31 runs on the whole England tour. Windies won the first Test match in style, but they lost the last two tests of that tour.

West Indies have also named the reserve players for this tour just like they did on England’s tour. The reversed players will cover those players who may get injured during this Test and T20 International series.

In the T20I squad of West Indies, the world T20 champions will not have players like Andre Russell, Lendi Simmions, and Evin Lewis. These three players have opted out of the tour. But they have included Kyle Mayers in their T20I squad against Kiwis.

Kyle Mayers is an all-rounder who had a great Caribbean Premier League. he scored 222 runs in nine CPL 2020 matches while playing for Barbados Tridents and Andrew Flecther also found a place in the squad of the shortest format. Fletcher will make a comeback into the WI squad after 2018.

Both the boards have agreed for this series, which will have three T20 International matches and two Test matches, which will start on Friday 27th November 2020, and it will go on till 15th December 2020.
