Milan Derby: Zlatan inspired AC Milan take the bragging rights at San Siro


Zlatan was recently back into the squad after defeating coronavirus. He scored an early brace in the first half itself against his former club to provide a win to AC Milan.

Every Derby games are a delight to watch and the Milan derby is considered to be one of the best derby games. Both the teams remained undefeated till now and it was Inter Milan who got their 1st defeat with AC Milan still remaining undefeated until now. The atmosphere was amazing at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza stadium where we experienced this amazing game.

Ibrahimovic leading the attack for AC Milan and the new signing Tonali was on the bench. Lukaku and Lautaro opened the attack for Inter as usual with the new signing Vidal into the squad and at the same time, Perisic was included in the starting 11 in place of Young.

The match started with an early opportunity for AC Milan where Ibrahimovic was tackled right into the penalty area and it was a chance for AC Milan to open up the scoreline. Zlatan went for the penalty and Handanovic got a hand to it but Zlatan placed the rebounded ball straight into the nets scoring at the 13th minute and getting an early lead.

There was no stopping for Zlatan as he went for another goal just 3 minutes after the 1st goal hammering the ball straight on the left side of the goal and AC Milan were 2-0 up already. Inter Milan opened their derby scoreline into the game when Lukaku drove the ball for a goal in the 29th minute and Inter got their breakthrough as their top scorer had opened the scoreline with the confidence to score more goals. The score remained 2-1 at half time.

The second half began where Krunic entered the field in place of Leao, the assist provider and for Inter Milan, Eriksen entered the field in place of Brozovic. Lukaku opted for 2-3 good shots in the hope to equalize the scoreline but somehow failed to earn a goal.

The final score at full-time remained 2-1 with no goals coming in the second half and it was AC Milan who won the derby remaining undefeated until now by winning all 4 games in Serie A this season where Inter side faced their first defeat of the season.
