Breaking News: Man City Ex-Youth Player Jeremy Wisten dies tragically

Jeremy Wisten died a tragic death yesterday and it came out as a shocker for everyone as they received this heartbreaking message. It was reported that the player was suffering from depression for a long time after being released from Manchester City. Imagine a young 17-year-old player committing suicide just because Manchester City released him.

Wisten was a promising defender born in Malawi and raised up in the United Kingdom when he joined Manchester City’s elite development squad in 2016.

He played at clubs including Altrincham Juniors and De La Salle before signing for City. He was a very impressive center-back who was also being compared as the next Vincent Kompany by the fans.

A number of City players paid tribute on social media sending their love and support in this hard time.

Cole Palmer who recently made his senior appearance with the club knew Wisten very well for a long time and he stated that he was a very promising player and he couldn’t believe that Wisten was no more.

Former City academy player Tyrhys Dolan, who now plays for Blackburn Rovers club, has started to raise funds to ensure the best send-off for Wisten through a post he shared on Instagram.

The senior City members Raheem Sterling and Aymeric Laporte displayed their condolences on Twitter.

Manchester City twitted yesterday to inform about the heartbreaking news stating “The Manchester City family are saddened to learn of the passing of former academy player Jeremy Wisten. We send our deepest condolences to his friends and family. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time”.

A gofundme page was set up to help Jeremy’s family pay for his funeral cost where the tribute has already reached over 5000 pounds now.

The page stated: “We are raising money to help Jeremy’s family give him the best send-off he deserves. The most beautiful soul who was loved by many.”

Let’s pray that God gives the strength to his friends and family. Rest in peace.
