India has announced its 18 member Test squad for the Test series against the Aussies, starting with a Day-Night test match at Adelaide Oval. KL Rahul is brought back into the test squad along with the likes of fast bowler Mohammed Siraj and Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav.

But Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma, who are currently injured, are not part of the Test squad. Rohit has missed two matches for his IPL side Mumbai Indians while Ishant Sharma has been ruled out of the tournament.

Varun will be joined with Shikhar Dhawan and Mayank Agarwal in the T20 International squad. Both the opening batsmen have been in excellent form in the IPL. Dhawan is still the first Indian to score two back to back tons in IPL, while Mayank has formed a good pair with KL Rahul for Kings XI Punjab.

Hardik Pandya and Deepak Chachar have also been included in the T20 International squad. Both the pace bowlers missed the T20 International series against New Zealand, which India won 5-0 on their tour in the early 2020 season.
