UEFA Champions League – Match Day 2 Tuesday Review

The Champions League is back after we experienced an amazing start of the league last week. Some great appearances and outcomes were observed in the very 1st week of the Champions League. It’s just a start and we are experiencing some amazing scenes out there.

We will experience more thrills and excitements at a greater level as the tournament will keep on progressing to the further stages. So the 2nd week of the Champions League started with some amazing fixtures as well which generated the desired results. We encountered some great matches at the starting of the Game Week 2 of the Champions League.

Let’s have a look at some of the best matches from Tuesday’s fixtures:

1# Atletico Madrid vs. Salzburg

Atletico sparkled back in the 2nd game of UCL by winning 3-2 against Salzburg after facing a terrific defeat in the 1st match against Bayern. They started the game with an unchanged side with Suarez and Felix leading the attack for Atletico once again. Salzburg managed to earn a draw in their 1st game but faced a defeat in the 2nd one. Llorente opened the goal for Atletico and they were leading by 1-0 in the 29th minute. Salzburg equalized the scoreline making the score 1-1 at half-time with both teams earning a goal in their favor.

Berisha gave Salzburg a lead by 2-1 as he scored with the start of 2nd half. Athletic forward Felix scored an amazing goal to equalize the scoreline once again. Another one coming from Felix at the 85th minute gave Atletico a lead ahead. At the end of the game, Felix’s brace helped Atletico earn their 1st UCL win this season.

2# Marseille vs. Manchester City

City beat Marseille by 0-3 earning their 2nd victory. The new signing opened the score for City within the 18 minutes of the start providing the team a 1-0 lead with the end of half-time. Gundogan scored the 2nd goal for City converting the assist provided by Sterling. Gundogan has now scored 2 goals in 2 games with the start of UCL.

Sterling scored the 3rd and final goal of the game as the match ended 0-3 in favor of Manchester City with 1 goal and 1 assist provided by Sterling and 2 assists in the name of De Bruyne. Marseille has failed to win both the games and is stuck at the bottom of the table. City has reached the top of the group table by winning both the games.

3# Gladbach vs. Real Madrid

Real Madrid earned a comeback draw against Gladbach after staying 2-0 behind. The match started with Madrid trying to open up the scoreline by maintaining maximum possession. Gladbach earned an early benefit as Thuram scored the 1st goal for them and they earned an early lead at half-time.

Thuram scored another one with the start of 2nd half with Gladbach on a winning side leading by 2-0. Real Madrid had to make a comeback soon as they were 2 goals down. Madrid were favored in the last minutes of the match as Benzema and Casemiro scored for Madrid in the last 10 minutes left by equalizing the overall score by 2-2 at full-time. These last moment goals helped Madrid to secure a draw in the end but they still hold a place at the bottom of the table.

The 2nd week of UCL started with some exciting moments and amazing results and we got some great fixtures on the next day as well.
