Sandeep Sharma is one of the underrated players who play the role of a secret hero. There are some other good names like Suryakumar Yadav, Devdutt Padikkal and Mandeep Singh as well. The right-arm medium pacer has represented India earlier where he played two U-19 World Cups in 2010 and 2012. Later on, he was signed by Kings XI Punjab where he created a name for himself.

He took 3 wickets for 21 runs in his debut game for the KXIP side against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 11th May 2013. In 2017, Sharma took 3 wickets giving 22 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore becoming the 1st bowler to take the wickets of the well-known trio Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB de Villers in the same game. He joined Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018.

He made his T20 International debut against Zimbabwe in 2015 after having an impressive season with the Punjab state team and Kings XI Punjab.

Sandeep Sharma has taken 127 wickets in the T20 format and bowls at an average of around 23.99. In this season of IPL, Sandeep Sharma has taken 10 wickets in 10 matches so far.

Sandeep Sharma started his form over the years by being selected as an optional bowler and now he is well known as the bowler who opens the bowling attack with the start of the innings. He usually shares the new ball duty with Bhuvneshwar Kumar while playing for Sunrisers.
