Valencia 4-1 Real Madrid: A hat-trick from Carlos Soler makes the headlines

Carlos Soler scored an impressive hat-trick with all the 3 goals coming from the penalties as Valencia earns another win by remaining undefeated for 4 games in a row in La Liga and Madrid faced a shocking 4-1 defeat. Madrid gave a good attacking performance but somehow lacked badly in the defense which created a problem for them throughout the game.

Madrid was reflected to be poor in the defense even with the presence of Marcelo and Ramos. Marcelo and Isco were included in the lineup and they got an opportunity to showcase their performance but they couldn’t provide much effort into the game.

Benzema scored the opener for Madrid within 23 minutes of the start as Real Madrid were in the lead at the start of the game. Benzema has now scored the highest goals in La Liga this season so far playing a key role by scoring in almost all the matches. Madrid was 0-1 up already. Valencia got an opportunity to equalize after few minutes after being 0-1 down as Gaya’s cross hit the hand of Vazquez inside the box and Valencia earned a penalty.

Soler converted the penalty by squeezing it through the bottom left corner as Valencia equalized at the 35th minute. Courtois tried to stop it but the ball went past him straight towards the net. Valencia got another goal just before the end of 1st half as Varane tried to clear the ball but his foot was inside the goal line and the decision of the VAR was given as Varane’s own goal after a strong appeal made by Maxi Gomez. Valencia was in the lead by 2-1 at half-time.

Soler scored another goal at the start of 2nd half as Valencia were up against Madrid by 3-1. Gomez was fouled inside the box and Valencia earned an opportunity to make it 3-1 and Soler had done it right by scoring once again. Solar has now scored 3 penalty goals in 2 games for Valencia.

Another chance was gifted to Valencia as Ramos got a hand on the ball inside the box while tackling Musah and Valencia got a penalty chance 3 times in a row now and Solar once again converted the penalty making the score 4-1 by scoring a perfect hat-trick. The match ended 4-1 in favor of Valencia at full-time as they continue their winning streak in La Liga.
