Mumbai Indians is the team that won the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League, which was played in the United Arab Emirates. MI defeated Delhi Capitals, and they won their fifth title overall in the IPL history. From the batting perceptive, the IPL 2020 season has been a great one. There were many best batting performances put up by the batsmen. But it was Kings XI Punjab’s skipper KL Rahul who scored the most runs in this year’s tournament, and he also won the orange cap to his name.

Today we shall let our viewers know about the top five batsmen with the most runs in the IPL 2020 season –

  • KL Rahul – The Skipper of Kings XI Punjab has topped the by scoring 670 runs in just 14 matches. Rahul is the highest run-getter in this year’s tournament, and because of that, he also won the Orange Cap to his name. The KXIP opener smashed these runs with an average of 55.83 and a strike rate of 129. 34. Rahul played some great knocks in this season. But unfortunately, his team couldn’t reach the playoffs stages. Rahul had scored one century and five half-centuries to his name as well.
  • Shikhar Dhawan – It is good to see another Indian opener with the second-most runs in the tournament. With Australia’s tour coming up, it is nice that both the Indian openers are in good nick. Gabbar is the second-highest scorer in the IPL 2020 season. Dhawan has scored 618 runs to his name from just 17 matches, and he also went past the 5,000 run mark in this season. Dhawan scored these many runs with an average of 44.14 and a strike rate of 144.73. Shikhar also smashed two back to back centuries, and he is the only batsmen to achieve this feat in the history of the IPL. With that, Dhawan also scored four half-centuries to his name in this IPL 2020 season.
  • David Warner – The Aussie opener and the captain of SRH is the third batsman to feature in this list.   Warner has smashed 548 runs from 16 IPL matches, with an average of 39.14, and he had a strike rate of 134.64. With that, Warner had also scored four half-centuries to his name in this season.
  • Shreyas Iyer – The skipper of Delhi Capitals, Shreyas Iyer, has been the fourth-highest run-scorer in the IPL 2020 season. Iyer was also the top scorer for DC in the final match against Mumbai Indians, which his team lost. Overall, he had a decent IPL 2020, but as a specialist middle-order batsman in the Indian team, a lot more was expected. Iyer has scored 519 runs from 17 matches. He had scored three half-centuries to his name along with an average of 34.60 and a strike rate of 123.27.
  • Ishan Kishan – The wicket-keeper batsman from Ranchi is a superstar in the making. One good thing about the IPL is that the fans get to know many great uncapped players like Ishan Kishan. Ishan did well for Mumbai Indians this season, and soon he might make to the Indian team because of his consistent scorers in IPL and domestic cricket. In the IPL 2020 season, Kishan had played 17 matches for a five-time champion team, and he scored 515 with an average of 57.33 and a strike rate of 145.76. Ishan missed out on scoring a hundred by just one run in the match against RCB, which Virat and his team won in the super over. But he has scored four half-centuries to his name in this season.
