BARTY’S DRAW BURSTS OPEN

A 26-year-old Ash Barty has a great show at the Australian Open as she has entered the quarter-final by winning the match against Kristina Mladenovic in the third round.

Ash Barty has been in great form so far in the tournament, as Barty has won first rounds against two- time Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka, that’s fantastic additionally this quarter-final entry of Ash Barty, it’s her 3rd consecutive entry in a row for The Australian Open also.

 

RAFA NADAL PASSES BIGGEST TEST YET

Currently, world No.2 Nadal has confirmed his entry in the Australian Open quarter-final after a straight-set win against Fabio Fognini with 6-3, 6-4, 6-2.

For Nadal, it’s his 13th-time entry in the last eight in the Australian Open as he won the match with his stunning performance and dominance in the first set.

 

MEDVEDEV MARCHES ON

Fourth-seeded Danil Medvedev has continued his winning streak at The Australian Open with a clinical 6-4 6-2 6-3 win against American Mackenzie McDonald.

It’s Medvedev’s 18th continuous winning match with 7 aces as he has won the match within 90 minutes and looking forward to extending his winning streak at the quarter-final of the Australian Open.

“It’s our job – of course during the match we’re going to try to win, fight for our best,” said Medvedev. “You never know. Sometimes you can maybe… argue on the court or something because we’re competitors. “After the match, we are great friends.” said Medvedev in the post-match presentation.

 

BRADY BOOKS QUARTER-FINAL BERTH

American Jennifer Brady has reached her first Australian quarter-final after a straight-set victory against Croatia’s Donna Vekic 6-1, 7-5 dominance win.  Brady has played attacking strokes to put pressure on Vekic, being able to perform well as Brady has reached 5-0 in the first set.

Vekic has also started the match with injury in the right leg, but she fought well but fails to get a breakpoint in the latter part of the match.

 

TSITSIPAS ADVANCES AFTER BERRETTINI WITHDRAWS

Italian ninth-seeded player Matteo Berrettini has withdrawn from his fourth-round match against Stefanos Tsitsipas due to Matteo Strain Injury. It makes entry for Greek fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the Quarterfinal of the Australian Open.

Stefanos Tsitsipas will face Spanish second seed Rafa Nadal in the quarter-finals.

 

PEGULA UPSETS SVITOLINA

American Jessica Pegula has crated major upset in the women’s category by defeating Ukrainian fifth seed Elina Svitolina by 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.

This is the first time for Pegula in her career that she has won against a top-10 player at the Australian Open and make her entry in the Quarter-final. Pegula was far more effective at the net than her opponent and worthy to watch.
