Delhi batted first against Mumbai and the team from the national capital had a disastrous start to the game. After both of Delhi’s openers were run out, Dhawal Kulkarni bulldozed himself into the Delhi inning who were left at 32 for 6 after the dismissal of Lalit Yadav in the 19th over.

Himmat Singh and Shivank Vashisht took it upon themselves to ignite the resurgence of this Delhi inning. Their 122 run partnership in just over 23 overs was going strong until Shams Mulani applied a break to it. Vashisht got out at 55 but it was Himmat Singh who scored a magnificent century (106 off 145) to take Delhi to 211/7 at the end of their inning.

The pressure was mounting high on Prithvi Shaw in the Indian team setup but Shaw seemed to have come out with newfound confidence amidst his crisis. Saurashtra were struggling in their run-chase at 17/3 when Vishvaraj Jadeja and Arpit Vasavada got together a had a decent partnership before getting out at 48 and 66 respectively. Chirag Jani, Dharmendrasinh Jadeja & Jaydev Unadkat took Saurashtra over the line as Chirag Jani scored a wonderful inning of 93 runs in 79 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes.

Kaif Ahmed and Anustup Majumdar powered an all-round Bengal batting performance as they made 315 runs in their 50 overs. Rajat Paliwal scored a 90 and Pulkit Narang also scored a half-century but did not get any support from the rest of the Services batsmen as Bengal won by a comfortable 70 runs margin.

Haryana scored 299 on the back of Himanshu Rana’s 102 but it was Manan Vohra’s 117 followed by Ankit Kaushik’s quickfire 78 that sealed a last-over victory for Chandigarh. Paras Dogra scored 101 runs off 109 balls to ensure Puducherry reached 273 while Manender Singh’s 115 and Aditya Garhwal’s 70 in the run-chase proved to be match-winning for Rajasthan.
