Eden Hazard has been a topic of transfer speculation over the last week or so and the latest transfer gossip would indicate that he has his heart set on returning to Chelsea. He played against his former club in the Champions League semi-final recently and noticeably in a very jolly mood after returning to Stamford Bridge.

The Belgium star has had a horrible experience with injuries ever since his move to Real Madrid. After his move to the Spanish capital in the summer of 2019, Hazard has only made 21 starts in La Liga in his two-year spell at Real Madrid so far. He has only scored 4 goals and 5 assists in the league so far for Real Madrid and the club is also reportedly ready to listen to reasonable offers for him as well as Gareth Bale in the summer.

Eden Hazard had a fantastic time in the Premier League after his move to Chelsea in the summer of 2012. In 245 Premier League appearances, Eden Hazard scored 85 goals for Chelsea and was only behind Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba in the goalscoring charts for the Blues in the Premier League. He averaged a goal or an assist in every 99 minutes in the Premier League for Chelsea.

Eden has won the Chelsea player of the season 4 times while also winning the FA Cup, Carabao Cup, 2 Europa League titles along with 2 Premier League titles over the years. He also made it to the Premier League Team of the season 4 times while winning the Premier League Player of the season in 2015. He is also 9th in the list of all-time highest goalscorers for Chelsea at 110 goals.

Chelsea fans have absolutely adored Eden Hazard at the club over the years and the excitement of watching Hazard play against Chelsea was very visible as the fans couldn’t control their emotions when their former playmaker was due to return to Stamford Bridge for the match.

The return to Chelsea is still at a preliminary stage while the Blues might also be set for a revamp in the summer transfer window as Thomas Tuchel will be looking to upgrade his team post a Top 4 finish in the Premier League and look for a title push next season. While Tuchel has been openly in awe of Eden Hazard, the potential of a deal would include Real Madrid looking to regain a major chunk of the 100 million Euros that they paid for him back in 2019. We will find out in the upcoming weeks if the deal is to materialize.
