The Juventus manager Andrea Pirlo got the sack after a disappointing season at Juventus wherein they didn’t compete for the Serie A title and had a disappointing campaign in the UEFA Champions League. It was Pirlo’s first big-time management job and the requirements of the job proved to be too daunting for the former midfield star as he has been let go after his first season in charge.

Massimiliano Allegri, a former Juventus manager has been linked over the last couple of months to be interested in the potential opening at Real Madrid which has also been confirmed after Zidane has officially announced his departure. But the managerial merry-go-round takes a sharp turn as according to sources, Allegri is all set to return to Juventus as their manager from the start of the new season and an announcement is imminent in the upcoming days.

According to the transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, Massimiliano Allegri has agreed to a contract with Juventus until June 2025 i.e. a 4-year deal with the club at 9 million euros net per season. In spite of the consistent links for the Real Madrid job, the Spanish club wasn’t proactive enough to swoop in and sign the master manager and Allegri is all set to return to his old stomping ground. Fabrizio also gave his famous “here-we-go” on the move.

Massimiliano Allegri has an incredible 75.5% winning percentage as the Juventus manager which is the highest among Juventus managers in the history of Serie A. He has also won five consecutive Serie A titles as the manager and four Coppa Italia titles, a trophy which they hadn’t lifted for 20 years before his appointment.

Allegri’s Champions League record was one of the reasons he lost the job in the previous stint where he lost two finals and a semi-final. His quarterfinal loss to Ajax in Ronaldo’s first season was the one that pushed the upper management over the line to sack him. Now after Sarri and Pirlo, the Juve magic man is back to lead his club to redemption.

Allegri will be key in order to retain key players in this squad with the summer transfer window that looms large over the club. Paulo Dybala s expected to sign a new contract at the club and the fact that he gets to play under Allegri again will make it an easier decision for the Argentine forward. There are speculations regarding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at the club and Allegri will push hard to keep him at Juventus.
