Top 3 Indian women’s players to watch out during England tour

The India vs. England 2021 series will kick off with a test series from 17th June, 2021. The Indian team has some new players for the upcoming tour of England. For the Indian team, Shikha Pandey, Taniya Bhatia and Sneh Rana make a comeback for a most awaited challenge on England tour. On the other hand, Indrani Roy has maiden call-up, while Shafali Verma has the opportunity to play her first test.

Shikha Pandey is the only test-experienced player. This all-rounder is bringing a little bit of test experience as she has been part of the team during 2014, where she has conceded four wickets with a 3.01 economy rate.

This Indian pacer has 73 wickets from 52 matches for ODIs while for T20 she has 36 from 50 matches. Shikha’s seven years of experience as a pacer is the highest in the Indian woman’s ODI and T20 setup. In the upcoming series, she would be a vital pacer along with Jhulan Goswami to build up our Pace backbone and as an all-rounder.


#3. Indrani Roy

Indrani Roy gets her maiden call-up to the Indian women’s side, she is representing Jharkhand. Before that she has represented Bengal U-19 and U-23 teams, later part she shifted her base to Jharkhand in 2018.

The wicketkeeper cum batter has performed 456 runs at an average of 76, to become the highest run-scorer in the national Senior One Day Trophy. These numbers resulted in her maiden call-up to the senior India women squad.

This test series against England women’s team will be most awaits for cricket players and fans.
