Tai Tzu-Ying continues to mesmerize in the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Badminton singles event, as she knocks a fellow gold-medal favorite PV Sindhu out in the semifinal. Tai, who is yet to register an Olympic Gold throughout her illustrious career, is a hot favorite to bag the pole position on the podium.

The game started with a couple of brilliant winners from the second seed but Sindhu took control immediately. She won the next five points, making full use of her height the way usually does.

She got to the 11-point mark in style, but Tai pounced quite strongly thereafter. Sindhu upped her attacking intent as her opponent closed down the narrow gap quite swiftly.
